Richard Rose is a saxophone player and woodwind doubler from Wappingers Falls, NY. Richard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Ithaca College where studied saxophone under Dr. Steven Mauk. He next received his Master of Science degree in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University. Following graduation, Richard obtained his current position in the Greenville, NY Central School District teaching High School Band, Jazz Band, and Music Theory.

Richard had the opportunity to work with a variety of students throughout his musical career. He taught beginning lessons at the Elizabeth Ann Clune Montessori School of Ithaca, NY. He also worked closely with the National Class marching band from Arlington High School in LaGrangeville, NY, and directed a high school saxophone quartet which was affiliated with the Aerophone Community Band in Wappingers Falls, NY.

Richard resides in Saugerties, NY with his wife and cats, where he currently conducts the Saugerties Community Band and performs on Alto and Tenor Saxophone with the Downtown Horns of Glenmont, NY.
